I guess this blog is not all that stupid

You would be amazed at how many people are trying to get rid of the Sony Vaio Care bloat package. Well I can only hope it has helped out a few because my post is right up there on the Google search for how to get rid of Vaio Care. I hope the end result is that more people installing Linux on there computer. I won’t say which distro I have but I suggest you do a little looking around to find out which one is right for you. The major book stores stock magazines that specialize in Linux will help you learn which ones are the most popular and for what reasons. Look for the simplicity of installing it and setting things up. There are many videos out there too.

However I do have a gripe I’d like to get out of the way. This one is aimed at Sun Microsystems, the folks who created the most popular open source office package. Gee, they created a word processor but they didn’t include the Java script that enables a person to number the pages. It took me all night to figure out it won’t number the pages. Then I checked the net and discovered that the script is out there somewhere, but stupid people like myself have to wonder about how many tries will it take until I get it installed right, if I do even find it. Hell they should just install the damn script in the program from the get go. I don’t give a damn about the spread sheet, or the presentation program, I just want some page numbers in my damn book! Gee all that time and money into a program and it doesn’t number the pages, how pathetic. And we wonder why everyone isn’t using Linux?

I use Linux almost everyday, and most people should. It’s faster and usually everything is more accessible. I just wish more people would use it so that more software companies would develop software for it. Down be afraid of it, it won’t bit you.
